Dallas, Tx - February 19, 2010 - Before purchasing any anti-virus or spy search and destroy program, many users may be shocked to find that they are able to completely protect their computers for free. That''s right, absolutely free.

In an interview, a spokesperson from TheSpywareSearchandDestoy.com said, “When it comes to computer security, many users are unaware that most of the time, it isn’t so much about what software you have protecting your computer, but more so, about how careful they are when it comes to putting items on their computers. You see, anti-virus and spyware programs still have to adhere to what it is the user wasn’t. Many people go out on the internet, click on ads, then see a pop-up come up to where they press “Ok,” or “Continue,” not knowing at all what it is they are allowing to run on their computers. Well, it goes without saying, if you’re going to give this program permission to install and run on your computer, then there is nothing your anti-virus or spyware search and destroy program are going to be able to do about it.”

Viruses and spyware can be used to monitor usage of the computer, prohibit computer performance, and steal/transmit a user''s sensitive information to a remote location. Most users would rather not have this happen to their computers.

Now, many anti-virus, spyware, and internet security programs have been made available to the public free of charge. And despite much skepticism from both users and industry competitors, these programs seem to be accomplishing their tasks very well. Avast (a free anti-virus program) is now boasting “100 million user registrations, and growing.”

By simply coupling a free anti-virus program with a free spyware search and destroy program, and monitoring their usage, many computer owners will find themselves safe from harm, when it comes to anti-virus and spyware attacks.
