Topsider Homes, the North Carolina based company that specialises in shipping prefabricated, custom-designed homes to different parts of the world, is now on to its fifth decade.
Started in 1968 with a house that was built on a mountainside near Boone, North Carolina, the company expanded business in the 1970's and 1980's, catering mainly to resort development projects at places like Walt Disney World, Pinehurst Country Club, Hilton Head Island and many other well-known resort locations worldwide. It was in the 1990's, with the advent of CADD and other technologies, that Topsider Homes started catering to individual customers as well. The focus always has been on bringing to customers houses that suit their tastes and interests. The houses are easy to ship and also very much easy to put up, so easy that even unskilled workers could do it.
Topsider Homes has had customers spread all across the world, from Scotland to Japan and from Canada to Panama. Remote and interior places in Asia and Africa are not left out and the Bahamas, the South Pacific and the Carribean all feature in the company's map. A very notable feature of the company's homes is that these houses can be set up anywhere, on any terrain. The company renders comprehensive service, including providing budgetary guidance with Free Cost Estimates, interior design and proper specifications. Issues pertaining to the houses, ranging from letters-of-credit and foreign exchange transactions to complex shipping logistics and customs clearance are all taken care of by the company. This makes it all easy for the customers.
Into it's fifth decade of service, Topsider Homes intends to expand operations into newer territories and go in for a total change, keeping with changing tastes and interests.
