New Stocking, Just What Carp Fishing In France Needed

Picardie, France �' The stocking consists of over 1000 carp ranging from 30-50+ spread evenly across the four lakes. The aim is to stock each lake equally so that no matter which lake you choose, you have a great chance of bagging a carp over 40lbs.

Cretelakes is a complex containing 4 lakes that were previously gravel pits. The lakes were stocked with carp over 25 years ago and have been left untouched until Jamie Hay took over the venue and set to work on achieving his goal, which was to create a venue that would be second to none and carp anglers could visit and leave with all the right memories.

Jamie Hay, Owner of Cretelakes has this to say. One of the best things about the lakes has got to be the stock; there are a lot of unknown fish in the lakes from the original stocking. Since we took over, we have added over one thousand carp. With growth rates of 4-6lbs on some of the originally stocked fish there can easily be unknown 50''s or 60''s present in the lakes.

For 25 years the fish have been on a diet of all natural food and you can see instantly that a fish is from the original stock just by the look. They are stocky, well built and heavily scaled with a beautiful dark olive glow to them. Since Jamie took over the fish have been introduced to a diet of nutrient rich commercial baits and have since thrived. This is evident in the impressive growth rates observed on recaptured fish. The carp love pellets and are starting to take a shine to boilies, keep it simple and you can’t go far wrong.
