Samsung Mobile Launches Mobile App Contest for Global Developers
Sydney, November 07, 2009 â€' Samsung Electronics today launched the 2009 Global Developer Contest to generate innovative new applications for Samsung’s cutting-edge smartphones. The contest, which runs until December 10th, is open to developers globally including Australia and offers a share in the US$330,000 in prize money for the best new application creations for Samsung mobile phones. This contest is for the Samsung OmniaICON and is open for applications in English and Italian. “Through their active participation, Samsung hopes this contest will offer a valuable opportunity for application developers,” said Hosoo Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Media Solution Center. “We want them to be able to profit from their work, whilst giving our customers a rich variety of applications to use and customise their phones with.
