Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (http://www.GAOInstruments.com) has launched its high performance Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) .This well-designed optical instrument is intended for engineers and technicians to measure connection or transmission loss and locate faults or breaks in fiber optics.The mini-OTDR is commonly deployed in the manufacturing, construction and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
This rugged mini-OTDR features a high dynamic range ensuring accurate signal processing and a short event dead zone. It has a large color LCD screen,with touch panel, to clearly display signal analysis results.The OTDR reads and writes files in Bellcore GR196 file format and offers a large memory capacity for data storage.Data can be transmitted to a PC by a serial or parallel interface;a USB interface is also provided for data transmission.The OTDR continuously operates for over eight hours when it is completely charged; battery levels are displayed accordingly.
