Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (http://www.GAORFID.com) has released its 2.45GHz active beaconing RFID tag specially designed for asset locating and tracking, warehouse and inventory management. This active RFID tag supports long-range tracking up to 30 meters. It offers a tamper-proof solution in that the tag will send an alarm if it is dislodged. The RFID tag also provides reliable RF signal and communication distance even in harsh environments.
This round, ABS material packed RFID tag, model 127005, performs well even when it is mounted on metal surfaces such as Iron and Aluminum. A built-in LED will flash when the tag receives a signal from an RFID reader, which allows users to easily locate the tagged asset. The well-designed tag supports bi-directional reading and offers an identification rate of 100 tags per second. It has a smart tiny button at the bottom. When the button is pushed in and the tag will transmit a 'normal' signal; if the tag is peeled off, the button will pop up and the tag will send an 'alarm' signal to indicate abnormal status. The active RFID tag has a battery life of about one year.
