Historic Walking Horse Hotel offers guests a haunted Halloween Ghost Hunt
Wartrace, TN â€' The historic Walking Horse Hotel, constructed in 1917, has been rumored to be haunted for decades. Current proprietor Joe Peters and his staff began experiencing unexplained occurrences shortly after he purchased the hotel in July 2007.
However, it wasn’t until February 2008 that he welcomed the first professional paranormal group to conduct a scientific investigations inside the three story brick icon. Clint Ferguson, Tennessee State Director with the Office of Paranormal Studies (O.P.S.) commented, 'I have personally witnessed things I believed were not possible inside the Walking Horse Hotel. It is definitely a paranormal researchers dream.' Brandon Boston, also with O.P.S. laughed, 'We could make a movie about our experiences inside the Walking Horse Hotel. Halloween night, the hotel will host a costume party and dance inside their state-of-the-art music venue, Chais Music Hall, named in honor of Peters late wife. The event will feature The Midnight Special Band and overnight guests will be invited to partake in an authentic professional ghost hunt with the O.P.S. investigation team members.

The Walking Horse Hotel is located in downtown Wartrace on state highway 64 ten miles from I-24 exit #97. From I-65 North take exit #22 onto highway 31-A north through Lewisburg then right on state route 64 East through Shelbyville to Wartrace.
