Whiz Kids pitcher recalls last Phils Yanks Series
Back in 1950, the Phillies really had no chance against the Yankees in the World Series. If not for Robin Roberts' complete game, 10-inning win over the Brooklyn Dodgers on the final day of the season, they would have been more notorious than the 1964 Phillies team that blew a 6 1/2-game lead with 12 games to play.
