The blog was started by consultants in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2008. The blog offers tips and ideas related to various business productivity topics and common leadership concerns. Business productivity topics have included: change management, customer service, economy, environment, goal setting, team-building, time management, training, meeting management, problem solving, productivity, and quality. Attitude, commitment, communication, conflict, empowerment, engagement, motivation, recognition and stress are some of the business leadership topics covered so far in blog posts. Posts are written by business leaders and professional consultants with experience in the topics they write about. Since the beginning of the blog, many professionals have added guest posts to the blog. Books by authors and contributors on the blog will be included in the list of contest prizes. A few books that will be given as prizes include: “The Management Map: Navigation Tools for the New Manager” by Deborah Avrin, “Meditations for the Road Warrior” containing contributions by George Hendley, “R.A!R.A! A Meeting Wizard's Approach” by Shirley Fine Lee and “Make Yourself Matter: Become Your Own Best Asset” by Carl Youngberg. In order to offer a more diverse business tip sharing process the blog will give a prize for the most constructive comment entered each week during the contest period. Comments must be added to business-related posts already on the blog and will be reviewed to find the one offering the most helpful hints in order to award a book as a prize.
