Toronto, Canada - GAORFIDAssetTracking (http://www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has released its integrative Gen 2 RFID reader/writer which is compliant with ISO18000-6B, EPC Class 1, EPC Class 1 GEN 2 and EPC standard systems. The compact RFID reader is widely used in warehousing, parking, distribution, shop floor, harsh manufacturing or processing environments and outdoors. It is an ideal solution for the separate applications where no host PC is connected.
This UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer, model216002, is an all-in-one device which integrates an RF module, a digital signal management module, I/O ports, a built-in antenna and RS232, USB, RS485, and Wiegand 26/34 interfaces. This RFID read/write unit provides selectable tag identification modes through timer, external trigger or software trigger. It reads tags at distances of up to 4m from all directions. Equipped with a nonvolatile memory chip, the Gen 2 RFID reader/writer stores the tag IDs in case the communication between the host (PC) and the device is broken off. Users can also input tag information or database in advance; the device automatically compares each of the new coming-in tag with the database for the next action. Additionally, the RFID reader/writer has a built-in timing oscillator which provides time stamp when operating.
