E1 Entertainment Distribution US Outsources IT

New York, NY, August 10, 2009 -- E1 Entertainment US, a major distributor of music and video with headquarters in Port Washington, NY has selected MCG, Inc. to fully outsource its Information Technology department. Effective August 4th, 2009, MCG will acquire several current E1 US personnel and utilize its own resources to position E1 to save more than 50% of the cost of running their technology services. E1 has been a market leader in the technology aspect of both physical and digital audio and video distribution. The current E1 technologies span across the AS/400, significant website reporting and distribution, and several large in house custom built applications. In addition, the distribution plant is highly automated and interfaced to these systems for effective product movement and accurate inventory control. The server environment on site is complex and supports all functions and over 150 users on multi shift schedules 5-6 days per week. MCG, Inc. demonstrated the expertise with the AS/400, web development, custom development, and infrastructure support to E1 management.
