Chile Economy Grew 6.1 percentage in Second Quarter
Chile's economy expanded at the fastest pace in two years in the second quarter, bolstering expectations that the central bank will continue to raise interest rates to prevent accelerating growth and consumer demand from stoking inflation. The economy expanded 6.1 percent from a year earlier, the central bank reported on its Web site, the biggest expansion since 6.3 percent growth in the first quarter of 2005.
