The timeline of swine flu throughout the world Digg this page for free send this page to a friend Add to your del.icio.us account

Swine flu is a Type A influenza strain, also known as H1N1. The original strain of the flu originated in pigs and has mutated in our DNA, making it transferable from human to human. It is also this mutation which complicates the search for a swine flu vaccine. The influenza strain contains elements of avian and human flu as well as swine flu, making it a dangerous and fast-mutating disease. Currently, the only medications known to alleviate the symptoms of swine flu are Tamiflu or Relenza, both of which are available through Online Canadian Pharmacies.

Although H1N1 is not a new form of flu, it has been responsible for millions of deaths globally in the last century. In the timeline of this flu (presented below), we inform you of the dangers of swine flu, which is circumnavigating the globe due to the lack of initial preparation by the world’s governments. Although the U.S and Canada are well prepared for this pandemic, the fact still remains that the flu is spreading faster throughout the world, with new cases (if not fatal) being reported every day.

- April 26th, 2009

The Mexican outbreak of swine flu is detected, with 18 people in Mexico and 20 people in the United States confirmed as having the H1N1 virus.

- April 27th, 2009

Seven additional infections in Canada are detected; an additional eight in Mexico, one in Spain, and another twenty additional infections are reported in the United States. Seven people have now died from the disease.

- April 28th, 2009

Twenty more people are now infected with swine flu in America, two in the United Kingdom and three in New Zealand.

- May 4th, 2009

The world cumulative total of infections breaches the one thousand mark with Austria, Canada, China, Columbia, Germany, Portugal, and Switzerland having new infections. Mexico still tops the list of infected at over 580. The total deaths from the virus now stand at 26 people worldwide. Thankfully, Swine flu medication (Tamiflu and Relenza) are both available from online pharmacies.

- May 18th, 2009

Two weeks later, the infection rate spikes and over eight thousand people are now infected worldwide, with the majority in the United States. Mexico comes second with over three thousand infected cases. 74 people have died of the disease at this point.

- June 1st, 2009

Over 17, 000 people have been infected with the deadly H1N1 flu virus worldwide, with the death toll rising to 115. Every country is put on high alert for this disease, with precautionary measures put in place. The WHO declares swine flu a pandemic based on the geographical spread of the virus.

- June 17th, 2009, 12pm GMT

Right now, the status of the swine flu pandemic is at over 39, 000 infections globally, with more being reported every hour. The death toll of this pandemic is now 167. Countries are on high alert and stocks of Tamiflu and Relenza are piled in pharmacies and stocked by online drugstores.

Swine flu responds to flu medication such as Tamiflu and Relenza, but you must still take precautions that prevent against this disease. Wash your hand thoroughly and stay at home if you are sick. Make sure that you are checked by your doctor if you suspect that you have the flu. Symptoms of swine flu can be found on Online Canadian Pharmacies. It is also possible to buy drugs online which can help with the symptoms of flu.
