Printable Chore Charts Help Kids Track Goals

Blue Lake, CA, January 31, 2009 -- Children, families and teachers can track goals and behavior with the help of printable chore charts available for instant download at the new Web site ChoreCharts.net. There are dozens of illustrated, full-color charts for preschoolers, school children and teens. There are tooth brushing charts, music practice charts and many more. 'If parents are struggling to keep kids on task with homework, personal hygiene or getting ready for school, a printable chart can do the trick,' said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. Charts can also help children overcome habits such as pacifier, use, nail biting, thumb sucking or even whining. Preschoolers can track their progress with potty training charts for boys or girls. Each chart is available in either a free version or a paid, premium version. The free version can be instantly downloaded and printed as a PDF, viewable in Acrobat. But for $5, users can download the chart a .DOC file and edit it in Microsoft Word. In the .DOC version, parents can customize the chores and tasks list as well as behavior goals to match their family's needs. Once downloaded, the premium charts can be edited and used as many times as the buyer would like. ChoreCharts.net offers full-color charts with professional designs, including illustrations of chores. There is a personal hygiene chart, charts for getting ready for bed or school and more. 'The charts can be used at home or in school,' explained Savetz. 'Some parents and teachers decided to use the chore charts in conjunction with a reward system.' As tasks are completed, boxes can be X-ed out or stickers can be added. There are weekly and monthly charts as well as weekday charts. Others are designed in a grid so kids can check off their accomplishments as they work toward a reward.
