St. Louis appoints new chief St. Louis Post Dispatch
Major Dan Isom was selected Monday to be chief of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, capping a six-week process triggered by the abrupt departure July 25 of Chief Joe Mokwa. Isom, 41, who holds a doctorate in criminal administration, has a varied 20-year career in the department.
