19 mile chase ends with suspect stuck on island Greensboro News and Record
LUMBERTON (MCT) — A Florida man running from authorities Monday tried to escape by jumping off an interstate bridge over the Lumber River, but became stranded on a small island in the river. Ray Alan Alexander, 23, of Naples, Fla., was later arrested and charged after a lengthy chase. He is being held in the Robeson County Jail without bail. Sgt. F.L.
