A former Iraqi general under Saddam Hussein turned Defense Ministry adviser was shot dead in broad daylight in central Baghdad Friday, security sources said. Gunmen assaulted Abdel-Amir Hassan Abbas as he was driving his car in the neighborhood of Zayona, pumping bullets into him with a silenced firearm. Read more!
