Beebe asks Pryor to take helm of state Democratic Party Arkansas News Bureau
By Jason Wiest Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe has asked U.S. Sen. David Pryor to serve as head of the state Democratic Party, replacing Chairman Bill Gwatney, who was shot and killed in his office a party headquarters last month.
