At that time i was in a relationship and thought it would change everthing everthing but the man was a gem and is now my husband. The one and only good thing my by the way female doctor did was get me an excellent surgeon who i see regularly. NeedlesS to say i do not have her as a doctor anymore.At that time i was and still am working in hospital and was caring for a patient you was suffering from endstage breast cancer and it was so hard to tell here that my jouney was about to begin and i would not be seeing her for a while.Six months of grueling chemotherapy and sixteen bouts of radiation later i survived. The fear was the worst part, was i going to die as it was at stage three and time would tell if i was pallative. The lump was huge at this point and most surgeons would have taken the breast but i was luckey and didn't. When i finally woke up after the surgery i ask the time as i had been told if it was one o'clock things were okey if it was three, it wasn't ,he pointed to the clock and i swore - it was three o'clock .At the same time a physician from out hospital had surgey, cancer related anf i manage to visit him and his comment was that it would be all in my attitude to survive. I got the message loud and clear and it has now been fifteen years for me being able to celebrate life and all that it has to offer.For all thoise women out there that is the best advice i can share .Thanks Ellen for your special gift of being able to make people laugh and so spontaneously, you have a true gift that youshare with those around you. He is in Iraq right now, which really keeps me depressed, and worried all the time, but I must say the SUNSHINE of my day is watching your show, you always put a smile on my face and make me laugh when I never think I have it in me. I just want to thank you so much for that I enjoy you so very much,I have suffered from depression for years but I do beleive laughter is the best medician and you definatly provide that to me. I am also an avid animal lover I take in so many straving lil stray animals, we definatly have alot in common.
